What does Julian Blackthorn smell like? Does he use scent or perfume?

In The Dark Artifices it is mentioned Julian Blackthorn smells like cloves, maybe he uses a perfume with that scent! This is a nod to earlier draft where Julian smoked clove cigarretes but Cassandra Clare decided to change that.
